Workshop Description

This workshop will provide nurses with knowledge of the basic concepts underlying the Laboratory interpretation of daily blood work which includes CBC and Differential, Coagulation, Electrolytes, Liver Function Tests, Cardiac Enzymes and Routine Urinalysis. Case studies will be used as a basis for discussion of nursing's role in the preparation of Requisition, collection procedure, measurement, and critical result reporting of test results.
